It's A....

.....baby.
I had an ultrasound today and was so hoping to see if we were having a little boy or girl. BUT, my little stinker was not cooperating and my doctor couldn't see a thing. I knew going in there was a good chance they would not be able to tell with me being only 16 weeks but was still hoping. Oh well, the baby is healthy and we will have another ultrasound in 4 long weeks. Until then, this baby is still an "it".

FOUR?!?

Four kids??? Yep, come May we will be a family of six! I am 15 weeks prego right now and just getting over the fun sick stage. I will admit the thought of four kids kind of freaks me out but I am SO excited! So are Jared and the kids. Emma wants another sister, of course, and TJ would love a little brother. And Rees gives us a different answer each time we ask. I think she is still just trying to figure out what the heck we are talking about and why she can't find the baby we keep saying is in mommy's tummy when she lifts up my shirt. As for me, I would love a brother for TJ, which means I will probably get a girl.

And can I just say I have the best husband ever!! He has been the greatest at handling me and my crazy mood swings and has been amazing to help with the kids. Thanks Jared! Love you!!

Fun times

Keith Urban Nancy and I went to Keith Urban's concert together and had SO much fun!!! Nancy's husband got us some great seats and then we ended up going down on the floor and standing right next to the stage for most of the concert. It was a blast! Thanks Chris!!!

Ya, I could have touched him. He did grab my hand, and spit water on me. :)

Fishing
Emma and TJ were so excited to go fishing with their Dad and Grandpa. These pictures are at the very first. Everyone was happy and enjoying the river until Jared's line fell on Emma's arm...
She thought his line was a bug and freaked out and tried to get it off, pulling the fly right into her forearm. Then she said she thought it was a bee that had stung her so she looked down, saw that the fly was still there, and tried harder to get it off, pulling it ALL the way into her arm. It wasn't a little fly, either. My dad has had a lot of practice getting flies out and this picture is of him popping it out of her arm. It took a couple of tries but he got it. If you look close enough you can see the fly. I wanted to get a close up of the hook in her arm but felt like an insesitive mom taking pictures while she was freaking out.

The fly after we got it out

And Emma's big blue bandaid. It was a pretty traumatic experience for her but she got over it after a while and had a great time.

Rees and my mom got some one on one time together while we were fishing and met us at the boat ramp.

This girl is NEVER clean!

First days of school...My little Emma on her first day of Kindergarten! No, I didn't cry, but it was a day of mixed emotions. I love to see her grow up but at the same time I just wish she would stay little forever.
Emma with her little neighbor friends in her class.
And my TJ going to preschool. He has been so ready for this day, after two years of seeing Emma go and not being able to go with her. He was so excited to go by himself. He kept asking when I was going to leave. I almost felt bad that he wanted me to leave so bad. :)
Playin' with playdough. Both Emma and TJ did awesome on their first days and have loved every day since then. I sure love these kids!!!

Ma & Pa

Jared and I got to be a Ma and Pa for our ward's pioneer trek this year. It was a little weird because I felt like I should still be one of the youth and not a Ma, but it was SO much fun! We had the best little family and had a great experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. We got to go to Independence Rock, Martin's Cove, and Rocky Ridge. I had never been to any of these places so it was fun to go see all three.Jared and Me

The girls following up the rear. Our boys had a little too much energy so the girl's job was to pull back on the handcart when they got going too fast.

Jump roping while taking a little break on the trail

Cam and Marissa (two of my kids) and me doing the limbo. We had some down time and had to find a way to entertain ourselves.

My favorite picture. This is our family pulling our handcart through a big mud bog. There were a bunch of these on our long day of walking and we couldn't take the handcart off the trail so the kids had to go right through them. It was great!

Festival Days

We had so much fun at Farmington Festival Days this year! Friday night they had a little kids bike parade so we went to my sister in law, Anna's house and decorated the kid's bikes. It was a little traumatic for TJ when ha stopped to chase his ballon that fell of his bike and got left behind. But other than that and a couple of scraped knees the kids had a ball with their cousins.

Sam, Natalie, TJ, and Emma stopping long enough for a picture and then they were off again

Eating their Pace popsicles after the parade.

Saturday morning was the parade. Jared was out of town so his parents took Emma and TJ to the breakfast that morning and went straight to the parade afterward and I couldn't find them, so Rees and I sat with my sisters and gathered enough salt water taffy to last us a lifetime.

She was excited to show me her candy she got

Annie and Paige. What a cutie!

Rees talking to Paige...

and now to her popsicle :)

She kept taking off into the street to pick up the stray candy so I had to hang on to her shorts to keep her back. We just missed getting a picture of her trying to crawl away from me. She was having so much fun!

This is a little video of her showing off her dancing skills

That afternoon we went to the park to see what they had going on there...

Emma was so unbelievably excited to ride a real pony!

TJ's pony kept stopping, that's why he looks like he is about to fall off

Before we even made it to the park Emma made sure I knew she wanted to get her face painted. Here are my cute kids with their painted faces.
Farmington City also put on a play of High School Musical 2 at the park. After days of Emma begging to go we decided we'd better take her. It was hot, and not that great, but Emma loved it so it was totally worth going. This is her and Jared at the play. He was SO happy to be there :)

This wasn't at the Festival Days but I thought it was cute. We went to the batting cages at Cherry Hill and the kids had fun with the helmets.
